Frontier - DSL


Other than the problems we have with DSL every once in a while which reminds me of 3rd world countries here is my biggest problem with Frontier :

We got a CD with their modem and it was suppose to install the modem ONLY.
What it did was, it installed like 3 or 4 different software packages WITHOUT asking me anything!!!
I uninstalled all of them but one of them I can't find anywhere and it's still on my PC!!!
Their company doesn't follow even a single principle mentioned here:
http://www.google.com/corporate/software_principles.html

If you want to get a DSL or phone form Frontier be aware. I would stay away!!!

I also have frontier for phone and internet service. I have had the same problems for over 8 months. Disconnect issues and among others loss of phone service. I have complained to them numerous times to them and have got no where ( wow what a surprise) The techs i have spoke to are very nice and try what they can. Too bad they are in TEXAS and dont have frontier out there,(lucky them).The first few months i had the service it was great,but now there is a broken line somewhere and rather then fix the issue they just turn down the speeds hoping it resolves the issues. Meanwhile i still pay $90.00 a month for less then half the speeds promised and cant seem to get anything done about it.I think i will start calling the newspapers and tv stations and telling them about when my mother passed on we received a bill for $464.90 for early termination.We have gone round and round with them explaining she didn't terminate her internet early,she DIED.She would have much rather been her sending e-mails to her 3 sons and newly born grand daughter, but god had different plans for her.So after 2 months of fighting with them over these issues about my mothers death i'm no further now then i was when i started.I think someone there needs to get there heads out of there behinds and get it together.No wonder they have to offer such a low rate for service, they cant provide it and people are becoming aware of the "shaft" they give there customers.I speak to there techs more then i do my kids and see more of them then my wife!!!Maybe if they had techs that come to your house that knew what they where doing they wouldn't have so many problems with what they are suppose to provide.So i also agree with Pissedashell about 3rd world service in a major leading 1st world country!!
